Online auction house eBay took its act on the road this summer with a >From Our Homepage to Your Hometown bi-coastal summer tour. Fleetwood RVs, vans, and trailers festooned with San Jose, CA-based eBay’s logo visit state fairs, flea markets, antique shows, and cultural events around the nation in the June-to-September effort, the company’s first road show.
The tour “is a great way to connect with our faithful users and generate awareness about new eBay features and services,” says senior vp-marketing Brian Swette.
Boasting a carnival-style tent and a large blimp to attract attention, the tour features an entertaining but informative set with four computers at each site providing real-time demos. TLP, Inc., Wilton, CT, handles.
