Valassis Posts $24 Million in Earnings
Valassis posted net earnings was $24 million for the fourth quarter, compared to a loss of $222 million in the prior year.
The Livonia, MI firm reported revenue of $605 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, a 3.4% decrease from $626.3 million the last year.
The company reported shared mail revenue of $335.1
million, for the quarter, flat with the prior year quarter.
The segment’s s net earnings for the quarter were $38.4 million, up 68.4% from $22.8 million the last year.
“Our team did a tremendous job growing earnings in a challenging economic environment,” said CEO Alan F. Schultz, in a statement. “I have never been more optimistic about the future of our business. As the combined forces of improved operating leverage and economic conditions come together, I believe we are in a strong position for future growth.”
