Urban Outfitters Inc. reported earnings of $20.5 million for the second quarter, up 117% from $9.4 million last year.
The cataloger and retailer reported net sales of $189.5 million for the quarter ended July 31, up 54% from $122.9 million last year.
The Philadelphia company reported direct-to-consumer sales of $18.4 million, up 100% from $9.2 million last year.
“We are optimistic about our fall fashion offerings based on initial customer response in stores and to the July catalog drops,” said chairman Richard A. Hayne in a statement.
