Tom Hansen Exits Wunderman for Rivet

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Tom Hansen, the executive creative director at Wunderman, resigned last week and will assume the position of managing director at Rivet Chicago later this month.

He had worked for Wunderman for 12 years.

Before joining Wunderman he had worked for three years at a trading card company and prior to that for four years at Wunderman Cato Johnson.

There have been a number of changes at Rivet of late. In September, Lor Gold, the global managing director and chief creative officer of Rivet, an Interpublic Group of Cos. agency, left the agency and was hired by TimeZoneOne as global chief creative officer.

Last month, the London office of Rivet began a transition that will align it with another Interpublic agency, Lowe London as of Jan. 1, 2009. The move was a client-driven decision to merge several shared clients, including Nokia, Unilever and Electrolux, under one firm.

Last year, the Australia and New Zealand offices of Rivet were also merged with Lowe. The largest Rivet offerings are now in North America, based in Chicago, San Francisco and New York.

Hansen currently creates an animated blog for The Big Fat Marketing Blog, called Scribbles, and also blogs for Promo’s blog, The Pro Shop. Chief Marketer operates both entities.
