Rosemarie Gates, an early Internet direct marketing pioneer who switched careers to become a psychoanalyst, has launched PsychOffice.net, a Web site with dedicated advertising to rent office to therapists.
Gates, no relation to Bill Gates, began her career at Trintex, a joint venture between IBM and Sears, which later became Prodigy.
Gates now sells paid advertisements on her office rental Web site. She began generating Web site traffic with a 40,000-piece direct mail campaign. Gates targeted members of the National Association, American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association. Next she
