The Glenlivet Scotch brings a taste of Scotland to five U.S. cities this fall with a traveling golf course.
The Glenlivet City Links tour sets up an indoor, 10,000 square-foot, nine-hole course for two weeks each in Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Dallas, and three weeks in New York.
“Not everyone has the opportunity to play on the world-famous courses in Scotland, so we decided to bring a traditional Scottish links to the U.S.,” said The Glenlivet senior brand manager Craig Johnson. The Glenlivet single-malt Scotch is imported by White Plains, NY-based Pernod Ricard USA.

The tour runs Sept. 28 through Feb. 5, 2006. Consumers can play for free; any greens-fee donations will be given to Direct Relief International for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. A dedicated Web site, Glenlivetcitylinks.com, showcases the course. Chicago-based Legacy Marketing Partners handles.
