TBA Global Names Richard Luker Chief Strategy Officer
TBA Global has hired Richard Luker as chief strategy officer, a new position, in the Chicago office.
Luker is widely known for his breakthrough concepts in consumer insights, and as the creator of the ESPN Sports Poll, the intelligence benchmark that measures the interests, preferences and activities of American sports fans, the agency said.
The position took effect Sept. 29.
“Rich is a key strategist who has dedicated his career to researching consumer behavior and the effectiveness of brand-building experiences for major brands as well as broadcast, sports and entertainment properties,” said Lee Rubenstein, president and COO, TBA Global, in a statement. “We welcome the opportunity to offer our clients Rich’s unique and advanced perspective as we continue to help brands reach and impact their customers in tangible and meaningful ways.”
Most recently, Luker worked at Relay Worldwide as chief strategic officer. Prior to that he was president of The Luker Co. LLC. He has provided consultation and strategy development to major brands and sports properties such as Anheuser-Busch, GM, Nike, Sony, Disney, ESPN, the NFL and the NCAA.
Luker is also an adjunct professor for the school of continuing studies at Northwestern University. He has also been a faculty member at Temple University, Concordia University and the University of Michigan.
