Shameless LeadsCon Plug: Week 4 – Beyond Shameless

Posted on

Four weeks ago today, we started writing with a simple idea in mind. To increase interest in an upcoming event about which we want to see succeed; but do so in way that were we not to say what we were doing, it wouldn’t seem like we were doing what we are doing. What does this really mean? It means were we not to tell you we were plugging LeadsCon, you wouldn’t assume we were plugging LeadsCon. The time for subtlety is over, though. With just under three weeks remaining until the event, we’ve done more than just cross the halfway point of our plugs. We’ve reached the end of what most people want, a good deal.

Last week, we told you that somewhere around 35% of attendees signed up in the last three weeks for last year’s LeadsCon. Well, half of that 35% signed up with just under three weeks out. Why? Because ticket prices went up. This means that 17% of all attendees, some 400 people paid too much to attend. The question is are you going to be one of them?

This week, we are giving up any semblance of subtlety. It’s all out promotion time. Why? Because your discount ends tomorrow night. When the date becomes February 12, and you go to book your ticket, because 2000 of the industry’s finest have already, you will say to yourself, “I can’t believe I didn’t book sooner.” Actually, you will say, “Damn. This seems expensive.” You will book anyway, but you will wish you had booked sooner. You will do a search for “leadscon discount” or “leadscon 2011 discount,” and you will think you have found a good deal. You will have found a link that saves you $200 off the rate of $945, so it is a good deal. But, it’s not nearly as good of a deal as you can get today. Today, you can pay only $545. Today and tomorrow that is. After Friday, February 11, it’s gone.

Want to know more about LeadsCon? Here are the links that you will want to check out:

  • There are 800+ companies already attending. The quantity is one metric, but the quality is the other. It is a who’s who of the lead gen world from the top offer owners to the brands buying the leads. There are billion dollar companies along with some rising startup stars.

  • It is Las Vegas, so that does mean a diminished capacity for attention for many, but do look at the Full Conference Program as you are bound to find at least one session where you might find yourself drawn away from the tables.

  • Lead gen’s only Job Board is now live. It’s filling up with some great opportunities, and it’s the only place if you want post an opening at your firm.

  • The Exhibitor List contains more than 100 companies to visit while at the event. You will find not just the names of those exhibiting but a description of their company as well.

  • The show couldn’t happen without the support of amazing Sponsors. They are truly some of the best companies in all of performance marketing.

  • Register today

In case you missed the last three weeks worth of plugs, here are some of the truly important details.
LeadsCon Las Vegas 2011
March 1 and 2, 2011
Mirage Hotel

Due to the amazing interest in the show, the Mirage Hotel is sold out. Each day a few rooms open up, but plenty of good deals still exist elsewhere. It’s yet another reason to book early. Speaking of early, it’s almost too late. You have less than 48 hours to save $200 off the current price and $400 off the regular price. Pass includes access to all sessions, the expo hall, real food, and open bar receptions. Register today. There is no lower discount. After Friday, there is no discount.
