Sears Helps with Holiday for Military Families

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Sears Holding Corp. has added a cause-marketing overlay to its holiday shopping site, ReadySetHoliday.com.

A tie-in with non-profit USA Cares lets shoppers on the site donate a gift for a military family. (The site hosts a wish list compiled by USA Cares.) Sears Holdings launched the campaign this week with a donation of $10,000 worth of gift cards to USA Cares.

The site launched earlier this month as part of Sears’ holiday ad campaign and carries merchandise from sister retailers Sears, Kmart and Lands’ End.

The site, which targets moms, has a kid zone, a holiday planner, a discussion board and gift ideas from all three retailers.
