Children’s cataloger The Right Start Inc., Westlake Village, CA, reported catalog sales of $869,000 for the quarter ended July 31, a decrease from $964,000 for the same period in 1998. Internet sales which began in June were $226,000. Retail sales increased to $9.5 million from $7.8 million a year ago.
For the six months ended July 31, catalog sales were $2.6 million, a slight drop from $2.7 million for the first half of 1998. Retail sales were $18.5 million, an increase over $15.1 million for the prior-year period.
