Reebok, Nike Sack Vick Jerseys, Shoes

Reebok International and Nike Inc. officially put the kibosh on sales of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick’s NFL signature products, including jerseys and shoes late last week.

Nike, which had already halted development of its latest Vick shoe, suspended Vick’s contract without pay after the quarterback’s indictment on dog fighting charges last week. The company stopped short of terminating its relationship with Vick.

Reebok suspended sales of Vick products at retail and on its Web site, indicating it had honored retail cancellations of Vick NFL jerseys. “While we respect the legal process we find the allegations against Mr. Vick too disturbing too ignore,” Reebok said in a statement.
