Quebecor Media will purchase the preferred shares of Videotron Telecom Ltd from The Carlyle Group for $94 million. The purchase gives Quebecor a business telecommunications services firm that offers local switch dial tone, long distance, high speed data transmission and Internet connectivity capabilities.
