Quarterdeck President Hessler Resigns

CURT HESSLER HAS resigned as president, CEO and director of Quarterdeck Corp., a computer helpware direct marketer/retailer in Marina del Rey, CA. The move is intended to further the cost-reduction program Hessler initiated last month and allow him to devote more time to projects as an adviser to the firm and its board. Quarterdeck has appointed board member and management consultant King R. Lee as interim president. He will be assisted by an executive committee of the board, pending selection of a new chief executive. Lee was credited with leading Quarterdeck through a restructuring of its worldwide operations.
