Programmer’s Paradise Sees 30% Sales Hike For 1998

Software direct marketer Programmer’s Paradise Inc., Shrewsbury, NJ, expects to report net sales for the year ending Dec. 31 exceeding $230 million, more than a 30% increase over 1997, fueled by a 490% increase in Web-based sales. Full financial results will be released Jan. 25.

In addition, the company is set to expand the breadth of products offered at its main Web site (http://www.pparadise.com) from 4,000 to well over 35,000 stock-keeping units. It will also expand catalog pages circulated by more than 25%.

Programmer’s Paradise continues to aggressively expand e-commerce activity by creating online specialty stores tailored for individual software publishers and content publishers. The number of specialty stores has grown to seven, and is expected to double within the next six months.
