Peapod Chooses Times Direct To Create DM Efforts

Peapod, Skokie, IL, a provider of interactive grocery shopping services, has selected Times Direct Marketing Inc., San Francisco, as its agency of record.

The budget was not disclosed.

Times Direct will create online marketing programs to help acquire and retain customers for Peapod. Acquisition activities will include response banner advertising and e-mail. Retention programs will encompass electronic newsletters, e-mail, and other direct marketing programs.

Peapod has more than 98,000 members who can access current product and pricing information via the Internet. Peapod customers in eight metropolitan markets in the US can shop online for their groceries and place orders on the Web.
