Ogilvy Hires Advertising, One-to-One Business Leaders

Ogilvy New York has named Harvey Kipnis managing director of OgilvyOne, and Simon Pearce managing director of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising.

Both will report to Carla Hendra, Chairman of Ogilvy New York and CEO, Ogilvy North America.

Kipnis’ will be responsible for one-to-one marketing, which includes digital marketing, direct marketing, CRM and loyalty. He will continue to lead his portfolio of OgilvyOne accounts, including IBM demand generation and TD Ameritrade.

Kipnis, who has a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, has 25 years experience in direct marketing and advertising. He was last with Digitas NY before joining Ogilvy.

Pearce will now be responsible for the New York office’s advertising business, focusing on both current clients and new business development. He will continue to lead the American Express account globally.

Pearce has 20 years experience in advertising and marketing on both the client and agency sides of the business. His agency experience spans DMB&B, Young and Rubicam, Wieden and Kennedy and McCann Erickson, where he was Managing Director of World Creative Group prior to joining Ogilvy. On the client side, he has worked for Guinness and Coca-Cola.
