GMR Marketing has hired veteran Olympic Games marketer Allen Brooks as vice president, international client management.

He will co-lead the Procter & Gamble Olympic marketing account, overseeing the agency’s international Olympic account teams and host-city marketing activation. He will have direct responsibility for integrating P&G’s marketing strategy and activation around its International Olympic Committee TOP sponsorship with P&G’s international regions in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, as well as managing P&G’s host-city operations in each of the upcoming Olympic sites, starting with London in 2012.

He will join current GMR Vice President Cameron Wagner in leading the P&G account.

Octagon has signed U.S. National Figure Skating Champion Rachael Flatt for a full representation agreement.

The deal comes in advance of Sochi 2014. Flatt, 18, was a member of the U.S. Olympic team at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.

Octagon’s figure skating clients include Rockne Brubaker and Keauna McLaughlin. Its Olympic & Action Sports Division is a full service representation group whose clients include Mitchie Brusco, Kelly Clark, Natalie Coughlin, Katie Hoff, Apolo Anton Ohno, Shaun Palmer, Michael Phelps, Ross Powers, Donny Robinson, Hannah Teter, and Seth Wescott among others.
