TV GUIDE: is launching a line of classic television series on DVD, featuring many popular programs from television’s golden era. The collection debuts with 72 episode available Sept 21 in six individual collections: Classic Comedies, Classic Westerns, Classic Detectives, Classic Television, The Andy Griffith Show and The Cisco Kid. The launch is supported by DR TV and print ads in TV Guide.

NEXT MARKETING: an Atlanta-based sports, event and mobile marketing firm, and Champ Car team RuSPORT have forged an alliance to increase the mileage and metrics of race team sponsor investments. Members of Next Marketing will integrate with the RuSPORT commercial department to identify, develop and negotiate partnerships for RuSPORT, as well as to develop and execute marketing programs that deliver measurable results for RuSPORT partners.

RYAN PARTNERSHIP: Wilton, CT, hired two executives for its Rogers, AR-based office called Ryan Retail Zone. Bill Sloan becomes VP-general manager and Melissa Berryhill is managing director, a new post. Sloan had been promotion marketing manager at General Mills, Minneapolis; he replaces Rusty Brock, who left Ryan. Berryhill had been senior manager, corporate communications, marketing and merchandise at Wal-Mart Stores. The Ryan office, which handles client promotions for Wal-Mart, recently moved from Bentonville, AR, and will add more staff this fall.

DRAFT: Chicago, hired Jela Trivunovic as VP-director of digital strategy, a new post. She will oversee digital elements of campaigns for all Draft clients, starting with financial services clients. Trivunovic had been director-professional services for Internet agency Ingenio, Inc., San Francisco, and a digital marketing consultant.

EQUITY MARKETING: Los Angeles, has changed its corporate name to EMAK Worldwide to reflect its global growth and disparate marketing services. EMAK owns Johnson Grossfield, Logistix, SCI Promotion and Upshot and has rebranded its Equity Toys branded consumer products division as Pop Rocket. Its entertainment marketing division retains the Equity Marketing name.
