Netflix Names Former PMG Henderson Operations Chief

Netflix Inc. has named former U.S. Postmaster General William J. Henderson as chief operations officer. He succeeds Tom Dillon, who is scheduled to retire in April.

Henderson was chief operating officer of the U.S. Postal Service from 1994-98 and PMG from 1998 until his retirement in 2001.

In his new role at Netflix, he will be responsible for managing and developing the technology, automation and distribution operations that underpin the company’s digital videodisc rental business.
