Nestle Waters Teams with Celeb Trainer Bob Greene

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Nestle Waters North America has signed a two-year spokesman agreement with star fitness coach Bob Greene, known for aiding Oprah Winfrey in her ongoing battles with poundage.

Greene, a fitness author and the creator of the popular “Best Life” wellness program, will appear in print, broadcast and online ads on behalf of Nestle Pure Life brand bottled water. The marketing content will contain tips from Greene on small measures families can take to promote healthier lifestyles—such as substituting bottled water for juice or soda.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, the Pure Life water brand will receive Greene’s “Best Life Seal of Approval” as a healthy and convenient beverage choice. The seal will be displayed on Pure Life packaging.

Greene has received wide media coverage so far during the diet-resolution month of January. Talk-show host Winfrey has launched an ongoing “Best Life” wellness feature on her daily show, after going public last month with the eating issues on which Greene still advises her. December’s O magazine cover juxtaposed photos of a formerly slim Winfrey with her current 200-lb.self.
