Microsoft Corp has acquired Multimap, a British online mapping services firm.
Terms were not disclosed.
This acquisition gives Microsoft a new technology to complement existing offerings such as Virtual Earth, Live Search, Windows Live services, MSN and the AQuantive advertising platform, according to the company.
