McDonald’s Samples Coke’s C2 at its Restaurants

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

McDonald’s offered samples of Coca-Cola’s new mid-calorie cola, C2, last weekend in some of its restaurants.

Twenty-seven restaurants in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Orlando gave away a 12 oz. can of C2 with any purchase. Drive-thru customers got a retail coupon for a free 20 oz. bottle of C2 with any purchase.

Eight McDonald’s restaurants–three in the Chicagoland area and five in Los Angeles–also began testing last weekend C2 as a fountain beverage.

C2 was unveiled in Japan on May 18 and in the U.S. earlier this month.
