LinkedIn Answers Will Shut Down on Jan. 31, Opening the Door for Quora to Grow Its User Base

LinkedInLinkedIn Answers won’t be around to see February, as the social network announced that it will shut down its Q&A platform on Jan. 31. “We will be focusing our efforts on the development of new and more engaging ways to share and discuss professional topics across LinkedIn,” according to an email from the company to its users. “In the meantime, members can still pose questions and facilitate professional discussions through other popular LinkedIn channels including LinkedIn Polls, Groups, or status update.”

While LinkedIn Answers was a way for marketers and other professionals to establish credibility, there are plenty of other places to do essentially the same thing, including the other sections of LinkedIn the company noted in its email
