Kraft Names Agency Exec Anderson to Marketing Post
Kraft Foods has named agency veteran Dana Anderson as senior vice president of marketing, strategy and communication, a new position.
In her new role, Anderson will oversee advertising, media and digital work for Kraft across the globe. She is working out Kraft’s Northfield, IL, office and reports to Mary Beth West the company’s chief marketing officer. The post took effect Monday.
Anderson will help Kraft create “sharper, newer and even faster breakthrough ideas and marketing excellence for the organization,” Kraft spokesperson Laurie Guzzinati said. “We’re excited about the broad perspective and experience Dana will bring to this new role.”
Anderson has some 25 years of experience working with Kraft brands in various capacities. She worked in account management on several Kraft brands while at J. Walter Thompson. She started her career as a copywriter at Young & Rubicam.
Before joining Kraft, Anderson founded a consulting firm, The Dana Anderson Co. There, she worked with clients, including Kraft, Wrigley, Google, Carlson Marketing and The Joyce Foundation. Prior to that, she was president and CEO of DDB Chicago, a post she held for three years before resigning in August 2007.
Anderson was president and CEO of Foote Cone & Belding Chicago from 1999 to 2004. She worked with brand marketers including ADM, Boeing, Coors, KFC, Kraft, and SC Johnson.
