The KOOL brand is once again hosting its national spades card tournament.

The 15-city tournament, Play On The House Spades Slam, attracts spades players from across the country that compete in two-on-two play. The tour began yesterday and ends Nov. 15 with the national championship in Las Vegas.

Preliminary rounds will take place in Atlanta, Baltimore, Brooklyn, Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, New Orleans, Richmond, San Francisco, St. Louis and Washington, DC.

Each city’s winner earns an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas. Overall tournament winners receive: $50,000, first place; $20,000 second place and $10,000, third place. The champions also win $10,000 for the charity of their choice.

Registration for the tournament takes place in kick-off parties held in adult-only bars and nightclubs in participating cities.

Direct mail, package inserts and playing cards with the purchase of a pack of KOOL Cigarettes at participating retailers support.
