InterContinental Hotels Picks StrongMail For E-Mail Efforts

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has selected StrongMail to provide e-mail and social media services. The terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The company had previously been using outsourced e-mail providers for its marketing and transactional messages. The StrongMail system will allow the hotel conglomerate to centrally manage all of its e-mail streams, including newsletters, promotional campaigns and event-triggered messages such as reservation confirmations, reward balance requests and password resets.

While InterContinental did not reveal the number of e-mail communications it sends out, its Priority Club Rewards program boasts 47 million members.

InterContinental Hotel Group’s properties include InterContinental Hotels & Resorts; Holiday Inn; Holiday Inn Express; Crowne Plaza; Hotel Indigo; Staybridge Suites; and Candlewood Suites.
