InfoUSA.com, Omaha, NE, has entered into a joint venture with Mapquest.com, an Internet provider of online maps for businesses, as well as customized maps, destination information and driving directions to consumers.
Initially, Mapquest.com will license the InfoUSA.com database to allow its users to search for businesses and people, and obtain directions and customized maps to destinations.
Then, the two companies will establish a link between their Web sites that will drive traffic to the newly expanded InfoUSA.com business-to-business portal site (http://www.infousa.com). Products and services such as mailing and prospect lists, sales leads, company profiles and business credit reports will be for sale on this site.
