Icelandic Vodka Offers Trip to Iceland
An enterprising Icelandic vodka maker is tapping into all the media coverage focused on Iceland as ash from the volcano there disrupts air travel across the globe.
Reyka Vodka is offering people a forum to relay their frustration through a contest that encourages travelers affected by the volcanic eruption to share their stories for a chance to win a trip for two to Iceland.
“Reyka Vodka is as unique as the country that inspires it and once the dust has settled and the skies have cleared we want to be able to help people experience just what a unique and remarkable place Iceland truly is,” said Jenny Logan, senior brand Manager for Reyka Vodka, in a release.
Through May 31, people can e-mail their tales of missed weddings or business meetings, vacations or school trips to [email protected]. Winners will be chosen at the end of May.
The winner will receive air/ ground transportation and lodging for a long weekend in Iceland, to be redeemed anytime this summer.
William Grant & Sons, an independent family-owned distiller headquartered in the United Kingdom, is the maker of Reyka Vodka. Its other brands include Stolichnaya vodka, Glenfiddich, Hendrick’s Gin, among many others.
