Hilton Hotels Renews Olympic Team Sponsorship

Hilton Hotels Corp. has renewed its sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic Team through 2012.

That includes sponsorship of the team at the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.

“Mirroring the ideals and spirit of the Olympic Games, our company’s founder, Conrad Hilton, was committed to the belief that world peace can be achieved through international travel. This philosophy will serve as the foundation of all facets of our Olympic partnership,” said Tom Keltner, executive vice president and CEO for Hilton Hotels, in a statement.

The deal designates Hilton Hotels as the official hotel sponsor for the games, entitling it to use the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic logos in advertising and marketing.

Hilton plans to run consumer promotions to provide guests a chance to attend the Olympics competitions.

As part of its ongoing sponsorship, Hilton will contribute for renovations at the Lakeshore Foundation Paralympic Training Site. It helped refurbish the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in 2006.

Hilton will also play host to aspiring U.S. Olympic athletes in the run-up to the games and will be host to the U.S. Olympic Committee during the games.

It will also offer various hospitality services to U.S. athletes and their families.
