Paris-based Publicis SA, a Paris-based advertising and communications firm, will acquire Frankel & Company, Chicago. Frankel provides full-service marketing programs. Publicis is acquiring 100% of the shares of Frankel. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Plans call for Frankel to operate under its current name, autonomously from other Publicis SA operations in the United States – Publicis, Publicis Dialog, Publicis & Hal Riney, Publicis Technology and Burrell Communications. The management structure of Frankel will remain unchanged, with chairman and founder Bud Frankel working directly with Publicis chairman and CEO Maurice Levy.
