Former Fingerhut CEO Deikel May Bid for Catalog

Former Fingerhut CEO Ted Deikel is making a play to take the helm again, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported this morning.

Deikel resigned his post Tuesday as chairman of the Medica Health Plan to pursue the purchase of the Minnetonka, MN-based catalog company. Deikel is a business partner of Minnesota businessman Tom Petters, one of the potential buyers of the beleaguered company.

Deikel had run Fingerhut from 1974 to 1984 and again from 1990 to 1999.
