Football and BBQ Set the Stage for Jim Beam Promos

Jim Beam is readying a sweepstakes and value-add promotion just in time to capitalize on football mania and the waning summer grilling season.

The Jim Beam Pigskin Palace sweeps kicks off Sept 1 at retail locations nationwide. Customers can enter at JimBeam.com/pigskin for a chance to win the grand prize of a custom bar, home theater system with a 50-inch HDTV with six speaker surround sound, a receiver plus CD/DVD player, a satellite TV system, including a satellite dish and a $2,000 gift certificate. Consumers can also enter via off-premise tear pads available nationwide. The sweeps ends Nov. 15. P-O-P materials, print, online and radio support.

“[The prize] is perfect for entertaining friends during the football season,” the company said in a statement.

Under a complementary promotion, consumers who buy a 1.75 liter bottle of Jim Beam Black bourbon will get a five-ounce bottle of Jim Beam steak sauce and a five-ounce bottle of Jim Beam barbeque sauce. The offer will be available in off-premise retail locations through September.

“The fall is a key selling season for bourbon, one of the fastest growing spirits categories overall,” said Brian Addison, Jim Beam brand manager, in a statement.
