Equitex, Inc., Englewood, CO, has signed an agreement to acquire Key/Nova Financial Services. Specific terms of the cash-and-stock agreement were not announced.
Key/Nova, based in Clearwater, FL, markets credit card programs and provides customer services support for online businesses through its call center operations.
“The acquisition of a leading Internet-based credit card marketer and their customer service support center is strategically important to our plan to become an online financial services provider to consumers,” said Equitex president Henry Fong in a statement.
Key/Nova’s resources, he continued, “allow it to handle the anticipated growth in Internet -based transactions as more credit card customers gain Internet access and become more comfortable in performing financial transactions online.
