Drugstore.com Posts $1 Million Income

Drugstore.com Inc. reported net income of $1 million for the second quarter, compared to a net loss of $2.3 million in the prior year.

The online marketer reported net sales of $100.3 million for the quarter ended June 28, an increase over net sales of $92.2 million last year.

The company reported that mail order pharmacy net sales remained flat at $11.5 million and included $3.3 million in wholesale orders.

The Bellevue, WA firm reported gross margins of 28.5% for the quarter, an increase over 27.7% in the prior year.
