DM Veteran Brian Becker Dies
Direct marketing veteran Brian T. Becker died Tuesday while at the PODi Applications Forum in Las Vegas
Becker, who lived in Annapolis, MD, had over 25 years of experience in the DM business, including time at Advo, Touchpoint, BTB Associates, Merkle Direct Marketing, Claritas and Donnelley Marketing. He joined Fairfax, VA-based Exmplar earlier this year as a senior vice president of sales.
A graduate of Dartmouth College, Becker served in the U.S. Army as a captain. While stationed in Brussels, Belgium, he received the Joint Services Commendation Medal.
“He was well known and well liked in the direct marketing industry,” said Jerry Bernhart of Bernhart Associates. “He touched the lives of hundreds of direct marketers in the course of his career.” Becker is survived by two children. Plans for memorials will be announced at a later date.
