Deluxe Corp. has acquired the Johnson Group and its affiliated companies for $16.5 million.
Johnson, Rockford, IL, is a commercial printer that employs 130 people.
Separately, Deluxe posted net income of $31 million for the third quarter, compared to $37 million for the same period last year.
The cataloger and check printer reported income of $398 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, a decline from $413 million last year.
The St. Paul, MN firm’s small business segment posted revenue of $234 million in the quarter, a 3.4% increase over the 2005 period. This unit includes the New England Business Services catalog, acquired in 2004.
