Video rental chain Blockbuster Inc. is exploring a possible merger with Columbia House, according to The Wall Street Journal.
While the talks are their early stages, such a combination could create a giant retailer of digital video discs to compete with mass merchants that have helped fuel DVD sales with discounted prices.
