CNN Touts Aviator Sweeps Via Online and On-Air

CNN Advertising Sales and Miramax are teaming to promote the studio’s Dec. 17 release of The Aviator, a bio-flick chronicling Howard Hughes’ early career. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and is directed by Martin Scorsese.

On-air spots promote the movie on CNN networks and encourage viewers to log on to CNN.com to enter to win a trip experience that highlights the glamour of “Old Hollywood.” In addition, branded movie promotional banners will run on CNN.com, directing users to The Aviator promotional mini-site, at which they can enter the sweeps, watch the movie trailer and learn about the film.

The sweepstakes will award one grand prize-winner and guest with an all expense-paid trip to Los Angeles for five days. The winner and guest will be flown to Hollywood, where they will attend a Miramax premiere, dine at legendary celebrity watering hole Musso & Frank Grill, attend the El Capitan theater as VIP guests and tour Mann’s Chinese Theater.
