ChoicePoint’s Income Up in First Quarter

ChoicePoint Inc. reported net income of $27.4 million in first quarter 2002, an increase from $18.6 million in first quarter 2001. The identification and credit verification firm’s revenue rose from $155.7 million to $173.7 million during the same period. The quarter ended March 31.

The Alpharetta, GA-based firm’s revenue from business and government clients was boosted partly by its acquisitions of MITI, Bode Technology and certain assets from Pinkerton.
