Chinadotcom took a $642,000 loss on $45.1 million in revenue during the second quarter of 2004, compared with $4.1 million in net income and $18.5 million in revenue a year earlier. The quarter ended June 30.
Much of its growth came in software and consulting services, which nearly tripled from $11.3 million a year ago to $34.7 million. Its mobile services and applications sector rose from $5.1 million to $7.6 million, and its advertising and marketing business increased from $1.5 million to $2.8 million.
Chief executive officer Peter Yip, who has been on a leave of absence due to medical reasons, has had his leave extended. Raymond Ch
