The 49th annual meeting of the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 11, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at The 410 Club in Chicago.
Michelle Blechman, senior manager, Abbott Laboratories, will become the association’s 49th president at the meeting.
The theme of the event is “Celebrating The Journey: 50 Years of Direct Marketing.” Previous winners of Cad’s Charles S. Downs Direct Marketer of the Year Award will participate in a panel moderated by Susan K. Jones, partner, The Callahan Group, professor, Ferris State University, and former CADM treasurer: Robert A. Endow, retired American Medical Association executive, CADM founder and past president (58-59); Kate Kestnbaum, president, Kestry, co-founder, Kestnbaum & Co.; Ron Jacobs, president, Jacobs & Clevenger, CADM past president (98-99), and C. Eduard Bjourncrantz, partner, The Callahan Group.
Direct marketing consultant Frank Roman will receive the Natalie P. Holmes Volunteer of the Year Award from outgoing CADM president Kelly Abeles, communications director, American Bar Endowment. CADM also will welcome Michael Becker, Chicago area sales manager, Mackay Envelope Company, to the Board of Directors.
