American Idol
talent show, AT&T Wireless is once again going the reality TV route with CBS’ Cupid, a new dating show that asks the audience to choose a mate for a 25-year-old woman.
As with its American Idol sponsorship, AT&T Wireless will enable viewers to vote for the Cupid finalists through text messaging. The company will also produce exclusive, show-related content for their customer’s phones and sponsor an online promotion at www.CBS.com.
Cupid debuted on July 9 but viewers won’t be able to start voting until the beginning of an 11-episode run on July 30.
Online dating service www.Match.com has also signed on as a sponsor of Cupid and will be running a Date the Bachelors contest on its Web site awarding a date with the nine finalists who will be voted off the show.
