A&P Inks Multi-Year Deal with News America

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

A&P has signed a multi-year contract that makes News America Marketing the exclusive third-party provider of in-store marketing programs for the supermarket chain.

A&P’s 387 stores will begin using News America’s services in January, tapping its SmartSource in-store and FSI programs for on-shelf coupon dispensers, shelf messaging, floor ads and shopping cart advertising.

Meanwhile, New York-based News America has re-upped its contract with data firm Information Resources Inc. to use as its primary source for retail data.

News America uses IRI’s syndicated sales data and consumer panel information to track the performance of its SmartSource programs. The contract has been extended through 2010.
