Amex Cardholders Can Earn Dunkin’ Donuts Gift Cards
American Express has formed a new partnership to reward its cardholders with Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards.
The incentive is for American Express, Blue, Blue Cash, and Blue Sky cardmembers. Each time these members shop four times in a calendar month at any Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant and use their American Express card they receive a $5 Dunkin’ Donuts Card. People receive the card within six weeks via the mail.
“We’re always looking for ways to add benefits that we know cardmembers are interested in,” Mona Hamouly, a spokesperson for American Express, said. “We really feel that anything we do to enhance the program for our cardmembers makes it more attractive to prospects.”
The partnership is part of the Blue Saving Program, which offers money-saving benefits, such as room upgrades, exclusive discounts, food and beverage credits and more. Other partners include, The Atlantis on Paradise Island, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Hertz Car Rental, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Dunkin’ Donuts is the first dining partner to join the program.
To participate, cardmembers must register their cards.
The partnership is being marketed through a variety of ways. It is flagged on both the Blue Savings Web site and at the Blue site. Inserts were included with the April and May statements with messaging also printed on the statement itself. E-mails were sent to members, and those who receive their statements online only will see the promotion there as well. The partnership is also being promoted through American Express’ Facebook and Twitter feed. Dunkin’ Donut is marketing the partnership on its Web site, Hamouly said.
