Alliance Data Systems Buys Frequency Marketing

Alliance Data Systems Corp. has acquired Frequency Marketing Inc., a provider of loyalty marketing services and technology, for an undisclosed sum.

Frequency Marketing will operate as a unit of Dallas-based Alliance Data Systems, maintaining its Cincinnati headquarters as well as its Princeton, NJ office and West Palm Beach sales offices, Frequency Marketing spokesperson Jill Z. McBride said.

Frequency Marketing’s offerings include its Loyalty Solutions Platform, which allows companies to create and launch customized loyalty programs. It also publishes Colloquy, a loyalty marketing program magazine.

Company founder and CEO Richard G. Barlow will continue to operate the unit. Mike Capizzi, vice president of sales and marketing, will remain in his role.

Alliance Data Systems provides transaction services, credit services and marketing services to the retail, petroleum, utility and financial service industries.
