PCH Fine-tunes Prize Patrol Mailings

Publishers Clearing House hopes to save money and maintain response to its local Prize Patrol mailings by switching to a smaller package.

Of 22 million PCH pieces scheduled to go out this fall, 5 million will be the Blitz Itinerary package, which has unseated the larger Red Folder mailer as the leader in the local mailing program.

The Blitz package will be sent to the top 100 media markets. It will include a Prize Patrol itinerary listing local florists and other services.

And PCH will save $100,000 on postage because the Blitz Itinerary can be mailed at Standard A rates, while Red Folders must go at a flat rate.
