4imprint Contest Dangles $10,000 Worth of Products

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

One of the top U.S. distributors is out with a contest that gives participants a chance to take a good look at its product line and to win thousands of dollars worth of its products.

4imprint, Inc., an Oshkosh, WI-based promotional products distributor, is sponsoring the Brand with TEN Grand Contest. Participants can enter at 4imprint.com/BrandwithTENGrand. A tell-a-friend component helps spread the word about the contest, which began last month and runs through Dec. 1.

In the first round, entrants submit an essay no longer than 500 words explaining how they would use three of 4imprint’s promotional products to build their company brand. They will be judged on the originality of the use of the product, the proposed business implementation and quality of the entry. The entrants can choose from any products promoted at 4imprint.com.

Among the entrants, four finalists will be selected in January and will make a two-minute taped sell describing their business, what promotional products they would purchase if they should win and how they would use those products. The entries will be judged by a panel of marketing and creative personnel selected by 4imprint. A phone or video conference interview will then be held with the judging panel before the finalists move on to the second phase.

In the second round, the interviews and taped sells will be judged based on business partnership potential, proposed product implementation and quality of the presentation. The taping will also be posted on 4imprint’s Web site and visitors to the site will help pick the winner by answering the online poll question, ‘Who is your favorite to Brand with Ten Brand’? The posting will be up Feb. 15, 2006 through March 1, 2006. The winner will be named in March.

The grand-prize winner will get a $10,000 credit from 4imprint to purchase products offered for sale at its Web site. The four finalists each get a $500 credit and a video camera.

4imprint ranks No. 3 on the Advertising Specialty Institute’s Top 40 Distributors list with $176.6 million in 2003 sales. Its product line includes golf balls, polo shirts, latte mugs, Post-it notes, pens, pencils and more.
