Wrigley Gambles on In-Pack Game

Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. is running a poker-themed collect-and-win game across five gum brands, dangling a grand prize of $250,000.

The Wrigley’s Big Deal Game puts game pieces with playing card symbols inside wrappers of Doublemint, Spearmint, Big Red, Juicy Fruit and Winterfresh gum. Players match the game pieces to spaces on a game board to win one of several prizes: $250,000 (as many as five winners); a trip for four to Las Vegas (up to five winners); $500 (up to 500 winners); $50 (up to 2,000 winners); or a free pack of gum, via 20,000 instant-win game pieces. In all, 35 million game pieces will appear on PlenTPak packages of the five brands.

Wrigley distributes game boards via print ads and online at Candystand.com. The game runs through June via GMR Marketing, New Berlin, WI.
