vMix, Fox, Team for Walk the Line DVD Sweeps

Online video-sharing community vMix and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment are building buzz around the release of Walk The Line on DVD with an online sweepstakes challenging fans to create a musical slide show to win their very own copy of the movie.

To enter, fans download stills from the film from vMix.com and blend their own music mix to create a slideshow. Fans with the best slideshows will win copies of the Walk The Line DVD released last month. Consumers can also to enter to win a D28 Martin guitarthe same type of guitar Johnny Cash used.

In addition, fans can watch interviews from the cast and crew of Walk The Line on the vMix site. The promotion was designed to create “fun and excitement” for the vMix user and create additional exposure for Twentieth Century Fox, Greg Kostello, CEO, vMix Media, Inc, said.

“Consumers had emotionally equity in Walk The Line,” said Terry Ash, executive VP of sales and marketing, vMix. Through the promotion, fans “can put in their own scenes as they like,” he said. “It’s very viral.”

The sweepstakes runs through Friday. Online materials and e-mail blasts support. The Regan Group, Los Angeles, CA, handles.
