Stop The Presses: Google Tops Among Search Engines in June

Google held the top spot in comScore’s listing of search engine activity during June. The company’s sites racked up 49.5% of all queries — roughly 4 billion of the 8 total searches made within the U.S.

Yahoo sites took second place, generating 25.1% of all searches, followed by Microsoft properties (13.2%); the Ask network (5%); and the Time Warner network (4.2%).

While most of the rankings held steady from May’s levels, the Microsoft sites saw a boost from Live Search Club, a program Microsoft debuted in May that rewards users.
